The Site     PARAPHERNALIA – PROXIMITY ADVANTAGES The site is mainly located in Goa which has all the required Infrastructural facilities and proximity to all required factors essential for conducting operations efficiently and effectively. As raw material extracted is heavy, proximity to port is very important in view of high transport cost. Our site is having two ports namely Vasco-da-gama and Panjim close by. The jetty of VascodaGama is only 18 kms away. All the facilities like Electricity, Water, Availability of cheap and efficient labour, availability of Expert Institutions handling quality, Certifications etc, Means of Transport, Communication etc are available. Availability of all these ensure lower cost of Extraction. ENVIRONMENTAL Our Environment Philosophy of trying to achieve sustainable balance between development and environment protection, and to perform better than internationally accepted good practices, makes us an efficient firm. We have ensured sustainable development by using state of art techniques: • Strategically placed sedimentation ponds to control peak surface run off and salutation. A series of check dams and filter beds have been built. • Infiltration and stability tests on mining formations and reject dumps to design dump parameters. • Plantation on degraded lands. • Resistivity Survey of Ground Water and Geo-radar studies. • Thickeners for wet processing plants to recover and re-use 80% of water. We have an Environmental Management System for the identification and management of the impact caused by the mining operations. We continuously survey and monitor all environmental parameters to ensure our commitments.     Plantations : • Multiple mining system and rehabilitation planning: Mining Pits of limited strike length are worked completely before they are back filled and    afforested. • Continuous environmental monitoring and planning • Soil Conservation and Plantation on degraded lands. RESOURCES AVAILABLE Beside huge tracts of land at Goa containing large resources of Ores of the various metal, the other sites are situated at Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Orissa, Karnataka and Jharkhand. The research work is in progress in these sites being conducted by Geologists and Metallurgical Specialists to access deposits to enable us to commercialize the Mining Operations in these States. It will not be time consuming to commence operations in these states because the machinery of mining including Plant & Machinery, Equipment, Expertise, Specialization, Human Resources and Marketing are already in operation at the Goa site.
